Introduction to Strokes:
A 30 minute class designed to perfect the freestyle and backstroke as well as introduce the swimmer to the breaststroke and butterfly kicks. This class is the first step from our core classes into the strokes department. Students will increase their ability to kick and propel themselves through the water using industry recognized stroke drills that follow a strict class curriculum. This class is based on ability and is a great way to prepare for the summer or year round Triton Swim Programs. Class Size is 3 with 1 instructor in the water.

One hour class designed to build endurance in the freestyle and backstroke as well as take the butterfly and breaststroke kicks learned at the intro level, and form them into the proper strokes respectively. This class is the next step in the progression line for the strokes level swimmer. Your child will increase their swim IQ through the basic knowledge of stroke drills and swim terminology. They will also work towards the ability to perform all four strokes for two lengths of the pool. Class size inside is 6 with one instructor in the water.

The Junior Tritons are a year-round novice swim team with the option to swim up to three days per week. The team practices at Stone Ridge Country Club Mon, Wed & Fri from 4:00 - 5:00 PM and participate in meets throughout San Diego County. A swim test/assessment is required prior to signing up for this program. Please speak with your instructor or the front desk for more information regarding the Junior Tritons.

The Blue Team is the beginner/novice level of our competitive swim team. Swimmers are required to try out and must be able to swim a 25( one length of the pool) legally of all four strokes. They also must be able to complete a 50(two lengths of the pool) of the freestyle and backstroke as well as exhibit proper breathing to the side. Blue Team members participate in our monthly funs meets as well as USA-S Novice and A/B/C meets throughout the year.The Blue Team practices three times a week for and hour and a half on Tuesday and Thursday and 2 hours with dryland on Saturday.

The Gold Team is the competitive/advanced training group of the FSS Tritons. Swimmers are required to tryout and must be able to swim a 100(four lengths of the pool) of all four strokes as well as complete the same distance of IM(individual medley). Gold team members compete in all USA-S meets throughout San Diego county as well as nationally USA-S sanctioned meets. The Gold Team practices four times a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday for one and a half hours and 2 hours with dryland on Saturday.
