Floaties Goggle Policy

We often get asked, “When should my child start wearing goggles?”⁣
Floaties Swim School believes all children should be able to swim comfortably and confidently in the water without the aid of goggles.⁣

Children that rely on goggles often FAIL at preforming self-rescue skills because they believe they can’t swim without their goggles on.⁣

Drowning prevention is our number 1 priority for our swimmers to learn first. We want out kids to be able to preform safe swimming without relying on a “crutch” like goggles in realistic situations.⁣

Once your child has progresses to swim the length of the pool and begins practicing advanced skills, then goggles are introduced. We still strongly recommend to continue to practice self-rescue skills without goggles to reinforce.
