Floaties Goggle PolicyBlog
We often get asked, “When should my child start wearing goggles?”
Floaties Swim School believes all children should be able to swim comfortably and confidently in the water without the aid of goggles.
Children that rely on goggles often FAIL at preforming self-rescue skills because they believe they can’t swim without their goggles on.
Drowning prevention is our number 1 priority for our swimmers to learn first. We want out kids to be able to preform safe swimming without relying on a “crutch” like goggles in realistic situations.
Once your child has progresses to swim the length of the pool and begins practicing advanced skills, then goggles are introduced. We still strongly recommend to continue to practice self-rescue skills without goggles to reinforce.
